INTREC  at Harvard Center for Population and Development Studies

Directing educational efforts of international project bringing teaching efforts of 6 global partners (Harvard University, Umea University, Heidelberg University, University of Amsterdam, Gadjah Madha Unversity, INDEPTH network) to train public health specialists in developing countries

  • Designing educational framework based on the learners’ needs in 9 developing countries of Africa and Asia. 

  • Leading program development efforts  

  • Online course design and management

  • Evaluation of the training activities using interviews, focus groups with students and faculty, and observations of online and face-to-face learning

WIDE World at Harvard University Graduate School of Education

Dr. Mirny oversaw research and evaluation of the educational program WIDE World providing online professional development for teachers and school leaders in the US and abroad. The evaluation work included:

  • Conducting educational needs assessment for schools, districts, and institutions

  • Analyses of blended learning using online surveys, focus groups, interviews and classroom observation techniques

  • Leading International Case Study of teachers’ professional development via collaborative action research

Sesame Street 
 

Educational assessment for Ulitsa Sezam, international co-production of famous TV program Sesame Street in Russia. The work included:

  • Formative studies for production,

  • Developing Educational Plan for 2 seasons of the program

  • Supporting production, including studio, life action and animation content

  • Content workshops

  • Summative studies of the educational impact
